HopeFull is on a mission to provide both sustenance and hope to thousands of internally displaced Ukrainians who have been deeply affected by the Russian invasion of their homeland. HopeFull’s journey began with the establishment of a feeding station on the Polish/Ukrainian border at Medyka in early March 2022. However, within a matter of weeks they’d adapted their approach to provide a mobile service of pizza oven trucks that traverse the entire country of Ukraine. HopeFull (previously called Siobhan’s Trust) has a base in Lviv from which they can visit communities in the west where many displaced people shelter. There is also a larger fleet of trucks which travels in the east of Ukraine, often to communities who feel forgotten. The magic of HopeFull is that the volunteers represent the international community, showing the people of Ukraine that they care.
Using these mobile trucks, they cook frozen pizzas (no culinary skills required) and serve other goodies and hot drinks and extend this nourishment to vulnerable segments of the population such as internally displaced families, orphans, and the elderly, all free of charge.
It is a simple concept but the joy it brings through the giving of a hot meal and the lifting of spirits is immeasurable. 🍕🌟
